Cloud Sync Micro App
This Micro App is used to synchronize the Sidos Wave with Sidos Cloud. Part of this app allows the syncing Deep Survey projects, ensuring that all measurement pins, survey updates, and project metadata remain consistent between the device and the Sidos Cloud. It also maintains a secure connection to the Sidos licensing server so that the Wave has up-to-date license information and access to all entitled features.
In addition, the Cloud Sync App provides a clear status view of end to end connectivity. It verifies local network connectivity (LAN) from the Sidos Wave, confirms reachability and session status to the Sidos Cloud (such as Deep Survey), and monitors connectivity to the Sidos Relay (licensing server). This allows users to quickly identify whether any issues are related to the local network, cloud access, or licensing services before starting or continuing a survey.

The Network status indicator displays a green “Connected” state when the Wave successfully obtains an IP address via DHCP and has verified access to the Internet.

The Sidos Cloud status indicator shows a green “Connected” state when the Wave has successfully established a session with the Sidos Cloud. This handshake may take one to two minutes to complete. If the connection fails, refer to the connectivity requirements guide for the required ports and allowed destinations.

The Sidos Relay status indicator displays a green “Connected” state when the Wave has successfully established an active session with the Sidos licensing server. This handshake may take several minutes to complete; after it connects, allow additional time (1-2 minutes) for the device to retrieve and apply any new license entitlements.

If the connection fails, consult the connectivity requirements guide to verify that the necessary ports are open and the required destinations are allowed. Use the Restart Timer button to keep the Wave awake while you perform any network troubleshooting.
