Swapping Floor Plans

Swapping floor plans in Sidos is simple and keeps your survey data intact. This is especially useful if you need to correct your building layout or if there are additions to the space.

How to Swap a Floor Plan

1. Open your project and select the floor plan you want to replace.

2. Click the Swap Floor Plan button.

3. Upload the updated floor plan file.

4. Confirm the replacement.

All existing survey data will remain aligned with the new layout.

What to Expect

• If the new floor plan is a similar size
  You may see a message asking you to confirm the replacement. This is expected and ensures your survey data aligns properly.

• If the new floor plan is not a similar size
  You will be asked to set four (4) alignment points.

  • Place the points so they form a circle or square.

  • The order should be either clockwise or counterclockwise.

  • Correct alignment is critical to maintain survey accuracy.

All existing survey data will remain associated with the new layout once alignment is complete.

Alignment Results

Once alignment is complete, all walls, attenuation objects, access points, and survey data will carry over and automatically adjust to the new scale of your floor plan.
