The overview tab is a starting point to see the data you collected for a specific survey. It allows you to see your survey results at a glance and quickly navigate to a particular category, such as Primary Coverage, Secondary Coverage, and Interference.
Important details such as Channel Width, Supported Rates, and Supporter Standards are displayed for each band.
Selecting a different survey from the drop-down on the left of the screen will display survey data from that survey.
Survey QR Codes
Each survey automatically receives a QR Sidos generated when a new project or survey is created. This QR code can be used only by the Sidos mobile application and allows the user to quickly load the floor plans associated with the specific survey onto the Mobile device to begin a field survey.
TIP: You can right-click on the QR code and save the image, which can be shared with any user and loaded manually using the Sidos Mobile App.
Selecting an SSID
Sidos uses survey data to infer the primary SSID for each survey. This SSID is selected by default for each band and can be manually changed by the user for each band by using the drop-down. Doing this can provide you with a glance at survey results without drilling into survey details found under each of the Tabs
Overview Band Summary View and Navigation
Each surveyed band has a summary view that highlights important details about the survey results and allows you to seamlessly navigate to the specific Floor and Tab by clicking any of the color bars.
Color bars provide a preview of the survey results by analyzing the survey area and providing a visual based on the upper and lower bounds of the heatmap preferences set by the user.
For example, if the bar is primarily green under Primary Coverage, this signifies that most of the surveyed area had a strong signal.
NOTE: Making changes to the heatmap upper and lower thresholds will automatically change the Overview summary view to reflect those changes.
Survey Summary Data
Once all data is processed, the total duration of all survey segments and floors, beacon count, and BSSID count are displayed next to the QR code.
This can serve as a good indication of the thoroughness of the survey and the density of the environment.
