The Sidos Wave features a responsive touchscreen that supports touch gestures, similar to a smartphone.
Touchscreen Gestures
The Sidos Wave supports two key gestures for navigation:
- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen – Closes the active Micro-App and returns you to the home screen.
- Swipe left to right within a Micro-App – Functions as a "Back" button, taking you to the previous screen.
Sidos Wave Action Button
The Sidos Wave has a dedicated Action Button located on its side, which provides quick access to key functions:
- Pressing the Action Button within any Micro-App returns you to the Wave home screen.
- Pressing the Action Button once on the home screen puts the device into standby mode.
Power Management & Instant-On
The Sidos Wave is designed to intelligently manage power, eliminating the need for manual shutdown.
- The device automatically enters hibernation to preserve battery life when not in use.
- It maintains a charge for extended periods when idle.
- Instant-On: If the screen is off or the device is in standby mode, simply press the Action Button to resume operation immediately.
Charging the Sidos Wave
The Sidos Wave uses a USB-C charging port, making it compatible with standard USB-C chargers.
Charging Speeds
The device supports two charging speeds, depending on the power output of the connected charger:
- Standard charging – When using a lower-wattage charger.
- Fast charging – The Wave charges faster when using a high-power USB-C charger.
Power Management
- The Sidos Wave intelligently manages charging to extend battery life.
- It might require one or two full charging cycles for the battery life indicator to calibrate.
- It can be safely left plugged in without overcharging.
- The device remains operational while charging, allowing you to utilize Micro Apps that do not require a direct connection to your mobile device.
Use a high-quality, high-wattage USB-C charger that supports fast charging for optimal charging speed.
