      Sidos Wave User Manual

      Sidos Wave Overview

      Sidos Wave is an advanced and versatile Wi-Fi measurement device. The Wave is rugged, fast, lightweight, and capable of performing accurate surveys across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands.

      Quick Start Guide

      Caution

      • Device usage is strictly limited to its intended purpose.
      • There are no user-serviceable parts in the device. Do not open, attempt to repair, modify the device, or replace the battery. Contact Sidos support for assistance.
      • Immersing or exposing the device to water is dangerous and may result in fire, explosion, injury, or death.
      • Exposure to moisture, heat, fire, smoke, or corrosive substances may cause injury or death.
      • High-temperature storage locations may result in battery leakage or explosion, causing harm or death.
      • Tampering with the device may cause harm and void its warranty.
      • Dropping or hitting the device against hard surfaces may cause damage or harm to the user.
      • Failure to follow device instructions may void the warranty and user responsibility for any harm or injury.
      • Follow all manufacturer instructions to prevent injury or fatality while using the device.
      • Adhere to the device’s operating instructions to ensure safety and proper functioning.
      • Remove the charger after the battery is fully charged. Do not leave charging for prolonged periods or overnight.
      • Cooling element dissipates excess heat to the surrounding air. Do not cover, block, or place the device in a confined space when using or charging.
      • Follow all applicable rules, regulations, and recommendations regarding Lithium batteries when shipping or transporting the device in an aircraft.

      Device Functions

       

      IMPORTANT

      • Read the user manual for proper usage.
      • Use only compatible cables and chargers.
      • Fully charge the device before first use.
      • If the device becomes very hot to the touch during charging or use, unplug the device, power it down, and contact support.
      • Handle the device carefully to prevent physical damage.
      • Ensure adequate ventilation during operation and charging.
      • Inspect the device periodically for signs of wear or damage.
      • Keep the device out of reach of young children.
      • Use only compatible accessories.
      • Seek authorized service for repairs or maintenance.

      Warranty

      Sidos Wave Limited Warranty: This Limited Warranty is provided by Sidos Oy/Inc. (“Sidos”) for the Sidos Wave Wi-Fi Measurement Device (“Sidos Wave”) and is valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase from an authorized retailer or distributor. Sidos warrants that, under normal use and during the warranty period, the Sidos Wave will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement, at Sidos’ discretion, of the defective Sidos Wave. The warranty does not cover damage or defects resulting from misuse, abuse, accident, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear. 

      FCC Compliance Statement

      This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

      General Troubleshooting

      • Power cycling: Turn the device off, wait for 60 seconds, and then turn it back on. This may help resolve minor software glitches and connectivity issues.
      • Check for firmware updates: Make sure your device is running the latest firmware version, as updates may fix bugs and improve performance. Use the companion mobile app to check for and install updates.
      • Reset the device: If you continue to experience issues, perform a factory reset per the manufacturer’s instructions. Note that this may erase any saved settings and data, so only do this as a last resort.
      • If you’ve tried all the above steps and still can’t resolve the issue, contact the Sidos support team at support@sidos.com for further assistance.

      Charging

      • Inspect the charging cable and check for any visible damage
      • Examine the charging port for debris
      • Use the correct charger with the correct voltage and amperage specifications
      • Firmly connect the charger and make sure the charging cable is properly connected to both the device and the power source
      • Charge at room temperature and allow adequate charging time
